Project Title:

Components for optofluidic chips handling multiple fluids

Abstract:

In this project actuator components (e.g. mixers, pumps, and heaters) suitable for integration with on-chip optofluidic components (e.g. adjustable lenses, optical switches, sensors) are investigated.
Particularly we will focus on

  1. on-chip fluid circulation systems for optofluidic applications including fluid separation,
  2. dual-fluid control systems and
  3. microwave heating of fluids for thermal-optofluidic applications.
