Research Topics: Holographic optical tweezers; 2-photon polymerisation; computer simulation of optical trapping; optical scanning probe microscopy; hydrodynamic interactions between non-spherical particles; hydrodynamic synchronisation; optical binding.
Expertise: Holographic optical tweezers; 2-photon polymerisation for particle fabrication; computer simulation (optics, hydrodynamics and molecular modelling).
Techniques Available: Holographic optical tweezers; 2-photon polymerisation; microfluidics; computer modelling (T-matrix, FDTD, DDA and related techniques, Brownian and Langevin dynamics, molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo).
Request Expertise: Experiments on hydrodynamic interaction and synchronisation; synthetic nano-swimmers; biological applications of optical tweezers.
